Welcome, this is the default home page. So what is the purpose of a Web Design Test Server?

Simple answer: It's to test things!

Long answer: Before changes are made to a live website we have to go through a process called 'Acceptance Testing' - this is where we create, test and determine if the requirements of a specification or function are met. It may involve performance testing too. This process is necessary before the next step; User Acceptance Testing. Whereby a web user is then able to test our new functions. Any bugs or problems are then fixed before the site is transferred to a live domain.
